Taverns sell drinks, as well as providing the opportunity to win some coin playing dice.

Buying Drinks

Each City has a default list of 4 'cheap' quality drink items that are always available at the Tavern for purchase. Drinks produced by local Breweries are also available for purchase in limited amounts.

There are 4 qualities of drink items that can be purchased. Cheap, Average, Fine and Quality. Each has it's own stats and digestion rate. The less the quality of the item, the less time it will be in your system and the smaller the stat boost will be. Investing points in the Brewer Profession will further increase the number of turns the item and its effects will remain in your system.

Playing Dice

The dice game played in taverns in GoS uses 5 dice, and is similar to poker dice. The more matching dice a player has the better the roll is, with higher numbers or suits used to break ties. Dice can be played using Tops (default) or Crowns, depending on the city's settings.

A new game starts every 60 seconds in every city. Any player that joins in that time will be competing against each other, as well as an NPC local gambler. The wager ranges from 1cp to 100g, and is chosen randomly. The wager range can be limited by the city's Ruler in the City Hall.
