A Game of Stones is a browser-based Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game (MMORPG) set in the universe of Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time series. You control your character as he/she duels other players, battles NPCs, and completes quests. You can form Clans with other players and compete to take over cities from other clans. As you complete tasks, you gain better skills and better equipment, struggling to be known as a famous Hero of the Horn.

Basic Info[edit]

A great place to start if you are new to GoS, is the Tips for New Players section. If you want a little more, but don't want to dive too deep into this most impressive and daunting wiki, keep reading for answers to a few of the other common questions.

Turns[edit]

Much of the game requires the use of Turns to perform one of the different kinds of battles. New characters start with 70 turns, and will receive 2 new turns per hour. Please note, this is the only way to get new turns.

Each character can save up to 100 turns before they start to miss out on them. (Donors can keep up to 200) This doesn't seem like a lot, as those few turns can be burned rather quickly, but there is a reason for it. This helps people who can't play all day stay fairly competitive. Many of the game's veterans feel this has been one of the greatest aspects of the game over the years. You can play a lot, or you can play a little. It's all up to you. If you want more turns, you have the option of making alternate characters. (We call them 'alts' for short.) You can have up to 3 different characters. (6 for Donors, if you're crazy.)

Regular NPC battles and Duels only take 1 turn each. However, Hordes and Armies take 3. (2 during the Last Battle) So choose wisely where you spend those precious turns.

Classes[edit]

Classes give each character a set of skills they will use to augment their fighting stats.

Upon character creation, you will choose a class to start with, then throughout the game you will be able to choose a new class. There are 5 starting classes and LOTS of specialized classes. For more info and a full list of each class, check out the Classes page.
